Structural Steel

A versatile range of non-alloy structural steels

Non-alloy structural steels offer an economical solution for many applications. These steels are characterized by a yield strength ranging from 185 to 450 MPa. Non-alloy structural steels are used in steel structures, mechanical engineering and mold manufacturing, as well as in the construction of pressure vessels and boilers. They are also used in the construction machinery and mining sectors.

Our structural steel grades offer you the following benefits:
  • We stock non-alloy structural steels in intermediate widths of 2250 and 2750 mm, and oversized widths of 3500 and 4000 mm.
  • We stock non-alloy structural steels up to 16,000 mm in length.
  • Surface finish complies with DIN EN 10163 UG3 standard.
  • Thickness tolerance complies with DIN EN 10029 class B or C.
  • We stock non-alloy structural steels with 3.2 DNV and LR test certificates for S355J2+N and S355J2C+N.
  • Structural steels compliant with standard DBS 918002-01/-02 in grades S355J2+N and S355J2C+N
  • Structural steels compliant with standard AD 2000 W1
  • We stock non-alloy structural steels with limited analysis, e.g., to ensure better weldability
  • We stock non-alloy structural steel grades with additional Charpy impact testing at -40 °C in grades S355J2+N, S355J2C+N and S355K2+N
  • Structural steel grades with ABV/Z/US testing

Improved Weldability and Usability at Low Temperatures

Our structural steel grades are characterized by a limited chemical composition. This allows us to meet our customers' requirements for improved weldability. To ensure that our steel plates meet the requirements for use at low temperatures, we offer non-alloy structural steel grades S355J2+N, S355J2C+N and S355K2+N with impact testing at -40 °C. For thicknesses up to 30 mm, we offer structural steel grades with guaranteed bendability. These are marked with the addition of C to the grade designation (S235JRC+N, S235J2C+N and S355J2C+N). Most of our stock of non-alloy structural steel grades is normalized (grade designation +N).
