Thick plates and hot-rolled sheets for the construction of pressure vessels and boilers

Our steel grades are qualified according to the American ASTM (American Society for Testing and Materials) standard system, but can also be used in the pressure vessel sector according to the ASME BPVC (ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code) standard.

Customers using our thick plates and hot-rolled sheets compliant with ASTM/ASME standards operate in various sectors or are suppliers to them. These include, for example, the petrochemical, chemical and pharmaceutical industries, the food industry, waste management, power plant technology, and the energy and environmental protection sectors.

In addition, we offer steel grades from renowned Western European manufacturers, approved by key decision-makers in the energy, oil and gas industries. The steel grades supplied by Budownictwa Sp. z o.o. in accordance with ASTM/ASME standards meet international standards and regulations.

Our stock plates are certified to ASME Sect. II Part A SA20 S5. Furthermore, the steel grades are vacuum degassed, have a fine-grained structure and are fully deoxidized in accordance with ASTM/ASME standards.

Wide Selection of Steel Grades for Pressure Vessels

Budownictwa Sp. z o.o. stocks thick plates compliant with ASTM A/ASME SA 516 in the widest possible range of dimensions to optimally meet our customers' needs. Widths up to 4000 mm and lengths up to 16000 mm – these unusual sizes are nothing out of the ordinary for us.

For sour gas applications in the oil and gas industry, NACE requirements apply. Our ASTM/ASME compliant plates meet the guidelines of NACE MR 0175/ISO 15156-2:2015 and NACE MR 0103/ISO 17945:2015.

ASTM A/ASME SA 387 steel grades are heat-resistant and therefore suitable for use at high operating temperatures. A special feature of our hot-rolled plates is the impact test at -20 °C.

Additional tests, such as post-weld heat treatment (PWHT), hardness testing, tensile strength testing, and impact testing, are part of our service offering to meet diverse requirements. Contact us.
